The new SL has been leaked ahead of it’s debut at next year’s Detroit Motor Show.

GermanCarForum.com member “The Artist” has posted these official-looking photos of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class. While its authenticity can be debated, these images do look like the real deal after seeing leaked scans of a SL brochure making its way around the interwebs – courtesy of www.benzinsider.com.

We are pretty impressed with the new design until we get to the… headlamps. Skipping that design oddity, the new car will boast a lower weight thanks to a good dose of aluminium and magnesium parts plus a promise of a 20 percent increase in rigidity over the outgoing model.
