After the completion of Rainforest Challenge (RFC) 2009, it was, at last mission accomplished to RFC’s 'Unfinished Business of 2007 and 2008.'

This year, the adventurers of RFC will heed the call of the wild from the northern forest region of Johor (Malaysia) with its long abandoned logging tracks, swampy grounds and hot springs to Keluang and finishing at the coastal forest within the vicinity of Jemaluang (east coast, facing the South China Sea).
Why The Last Frontier? Well, the disused logging tracks with its thick jungle canopies and rugged terrain are places never visited by anyone in the 4x4 before especially the Swamp Thing, Hot Spring Predator, The Terminator of Keluang and the Twilight Zone.
With further improvements from the proven 2009 format, this year’s planning will make the flow of events even better. Efficient use of manpower and machinery are all part and parcel of this year’s strategic planning. Of course, Mother Nature is unpredictable as usual, who knows what she might come up with this time? Will she be a Tempest, like in 2007 or will she be a Cool & Calm Lady as in 2009? Whatever form she may take, the RFC committee will be ready for this year’s adventure.
“Anyway, the RFC has always been adventure first and all seasoned participants know this only too well. So, these true-blue 4x4 warriors from Europe to Asia will always expect the unexpected in the worst of times or in the best of times. They have come to pay respect to Mother Nature,†said Luis J.A.Wee, the Founder of RFC.
The RFC 2010 edition will take place from 4 to 13 December, starting off with the opening and prologue special stages in Johor Bahru, then proceeding to Segamat, Labis, Kelaung, Jemaluang and ending back in Johor Bahru. The ten-day event is the longest in the world for any off-road 4x4 extreme event, and arguably, the hardest and most unpredictable.
The jungle is alive for a time of adventure and the RFC badge of honour must be fought and won through sweat and tears as you live your 4x4 dreams passionately in the company of your peers from around the world. If you have what it takes, you should be with them in this year’s roll of honours with these extraordinary men, women and machines in an extraordinary event, set in an extraordinary season – the monsoon.
Catch the thrills, spills, drama, action, adventure, razz matazz of the Opening, Prologue SS, Closing ceremony, joy, triumphs and camaraderie in this year’s RFC in Johor. The event is also open to Touring Adventurers/Spectators for the half or full journey. You can also bring your own vehicles or just jump into the official/media trucks in the convoy.
