After casting off from Hong Kong four days ago, the record-breaking Maserati Soldini Racing Yacht reached Singapore waters to showcase it's latest developments.
With a crew of experienced yachtsmen led by the world renowned Giovanni Soldini, the Maserati Soldini Yacht recently clinched a new record by sailing through the legendary “Golden Route” - between New York City and San Francisco, through the Cape Horn and around the Americas - in just 47 days, 42 minutes and 29 seconds.
Giovanni Soldini, along with some members of the crew made its way here and docked at the Keppel Marina to showcase the magnificent Maserati Soldini Yacht. Aside from Maserati, it is sponsored also by BSI, Generali and Vodafone.
The VOR 70 Maserati yacht is an engineering marvel. With a carbon mast of over 30 meters, a canting keel, water ballast, canards, sleekly elegant waterlines and a composite construction, it measures at just over 20 meters and was built for the purpose of one thing: speed.
It made its way here from Hong Kong, braving the waters off the coast of Singapore where recent pirates incidents have happened. Thankfully, the team made it here safely, and will be off to Cape Town, South Africa on 5 November 2013 for their next leg of the Transpac Race 2013.
Also at the marina was the Maserati Quattroporte GTS. First launched in March 2013, the 530 bhp Maserati Quattroporte GTS is capable of a top speed of 307 km/h and a 0-100 km/h sprint of 4.7 seconds. Making it the fastest luxury sedan at the moment.
