Close to 200 Jaguar owners and guests turned up for the first-ever Owner Appreciation Night on Thursday, 21 August 2014.
The event was organized by Wearnes Automotive, the official dealer of Jaguar in Singapore, to thank owners for their support and loyalty to the marque. And at the same event, the Jaguar owners were one of the first to test-drive the all-new F-Type Coupé.
With up to 374 bhp of power and the ability to complete the century sprint in 4.9 seconds, there is no doubting its power. Jaguar owners experienced first-hand true Jaguar sports car performance as well as the highly addictive growls, snarls and exhaust back firings of the F-Type Coupé.
As the only luxury sedan in its class with a 2.0-litre engine, the Jaguar XJ 2.0 also received considerable attention. Made possible with its lightweight aluminium monocoque and ultra-efficient 2.0-litre i4 237 bhp turbocharged engine, the Jaguar XJ 2.0 is able to achieve 0-100km/h in 7.5 seconds.
The event also featured Jaguar’s first sports crossover concept car, the C-X17 Concept. The C-X17, a bold statement of Jaguar’s future design and technological intent, is a precursor of the next generation of Jaguar cars. Following its recent preview at ION Orchard, owners had another chance to get up close to the concept car.
Jaguar owners were in for a treat with a delectable selection of canapés and traditional push cart ice cream. The event also provided owners with the opportunity to network with one another over fine whiskey kindly sponsored by Glenfiddich and a game of pool or foosball. Popular local band, Jive Talkin’ closed the night on a high with a sensational live performance of classic tunes and the latest hits.
