Widening Lexus’ offerings in the Luxury SUV segment, the Lexus NX makes its Singapore debut, unveiled to guests and media partners at the KF1 Karting Circuit

Borneo Motors unveiled the highly anticipated Lexus NX to guests and media partners last evening, at the new KF1 Karting Circuit. With the NX Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) model, Lexus promises an exceptional experience through its striking design, unprecedented driving feel and innovative technologies, complemented with the refinement and precision craftsmanship synonymous with the brand.

The new NX is available in two model variants, the 2.5-litre NX Hybrid and the 2.0-litre NX Turbo; the latter is Lexus’ first-ever turbocharged offering, and will only be introduced in the first quarter of 2015.

The KF1 Karting Circuit was the chosen venue to showcase the sports-car like agility and driving performance of the NX Hybrid, with some guests - the Burnpavement team included - having the opportunity to experience its handling prowess around the twisting bends of the circuit. In addition, a parking obstacle course was specially designed for drivers to experience the 360-degree panoramic view monitor.

The idea of the NX model was first mooted in 2009. With ‘Fun to Drive’ as the development concept, over 2,000 engineers were involved to create a premium SUV that is stylish, delivers unprecedented driving feel and offers utility and space to suit one’s urban and active lifestyle. Featuring a wide array of class-leading intuitive innovation and Lexus’ precision craftsmanship, the NX is crafted to deliver luxurious comfort and captivate drivers with its exceptional driving experience.

With 194 bhp under the bonnet, the NX Hybrid delivers lively performance with its instantaneous power and seamless acceleration, matched with a fuel efficiency of 5.7L/100km. The new NX Hybrid also enjoy a 5 years extended hybrid warranty and a full 10 years hybrid battery warranty.
