Renault Sport (RS) owners were recently invited to test their Renaults on the Sepang International Circuit on 15th October 2010.

With the chance to drive their cars on a bona fide F1 track circuit, enthusiastic Renault RS owners responded and quickly filled up the slots. Present at the track was the new Mégane RS which also participated in the track event as Renault showcased the performance of the car’s cup chassis on track.

The event began proper with the RS owners meeting at the Renault Showroom along 28 Leng Kee Road for breakfast, registration and briefing before setting off in a convoy for the Sepang International Circuit.

At Sepang International Circuit, the RS owners were guided by Denis Lian and other experienced instructors from Wearnes Motorsports in navigating their Renaults on the challenging track. Under the tutelage of these instructors, the RS owners can better understand their Renaults on the track as well as improve their handling of the cars.

The event also gave the RS owners an opportunity to meet other RS owners and through this, many new bonds and friendships were created at the end of the day. This exact sentiment was mirrored by some of the participants such as Dr. Chua who said, "Prior to this event, I have never driven my Mégane R26 this fast before. This event definitely gave me an opportunity to understand my car and my driving better. Do organise more of such events and keep me in the mailing list." Mr and Mrs Pang, owners of a Renault Clio R27 added, "I think the event went well and both of us enjoyed ourselves. This event gave me a chance to better understand my Clio R27."
