Borneo Motors Launches The New Crown

BY Krado Low

Borneo Motors recently announced the launch of the new Crown, the flagship model for Toyota's luxury line up.

Built around four core values, Toyota's longest production-run sedan is built with a dignified, sleek design and comes lavished with quality finishes in the interior.

Powered by a 227HP 3L engine that's mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox, it manages to reach a top speed of 240km/h, yet return a good fuel consumption of 10.7km/l.

Luxuries on the inside include a keyless ignition system, seat position memory and an “auto away” steering wheel to make entries and exits easier. If you prefer to sit in the back, you still get controls for the air conditioning, audio system, sunshade and seat ventilation on the centre console.

To add on, the Crown also features powered sunshades, rear air conditioning and a cooler box for drinks. And it can close slightly ajar doors by itself. Luxury toys aside, the Crown also comes full of safety equipment such as ABS with brake force distribution, brake assist, traction and stability control.

Airbags are deployed for the driver, passenger and on the sides. Curtains and knee airbags further help to protect the occupants in the event of a crash.
