Smoke, burnt rubber and wailing tyres. Just a few things you'll experience if you spent a day at a drift event. And this year's Formula Drift Singapore did not disappoint.

Organized by ESPN STAR Sports’ (ESS) Event Management Group and powered by Nissan, Formula Drift Singapore was held at the F1 Pit Building, with a record showing of 42 drivers from Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, Japan and New Zealand. This marked the first time any drift competition was held on a Formula 1 track.
 
Representing Singapore were Ivan Lim, Jansen Tan, Adam Toh, Shah Yusoff, Lim Chien Wei, Jason Tan and Winston Ang. Malaysia’s Tengku Djan returned, successfully defending his title as he took the top spot this year once again.

Battling it out!

Boostzone's Nissan 180SX (S13) showed a great effort.

Broken bumpers a common occurrence in drifting.

New Zealand's Daniel 'Fanga Dan' Woolhouse finished a respectable 3rd place.

Falken Stamford/Garage R's Jansen Tan did a good 2 runs with New Zealand's Daniel Woolhouse. But the Kiwi was just more aggressive and went on to claim a podium finish.
