The Malaysian Grand Prix on Sunday 10 April 2011 at the Sepang International Circuit saw Sebastian Vettel win his second race in a row ahead of Jenson Button and Nick Heidfeld.

For Vettel, it is his second victory of the 2011 F1 season, 12th of his career and second-in-a-row since he won the 2011 season opener at Melbourne. It is also Vettel's fifth victory in the last six Grand Prix dating back to the Japanese Grand Prix last season. For Red Bull, it is their second victory of the season, and 17th in the team's short but storied history.

Apart from three routine pit stops for tyres, Vettel was the man of the moment as he led the pack from start to finish, performing impeccably and was never threatened, save for his problems with the KERS system. Behind him, drama was aplenty as the KERS and DRS systems played their part in some crucial overtaking moves that decided the race results.

Over at McLaren, 2009 Formula One World Champion Jenson Button had a subdued race as he drove brilliantly to a second place finish, 3.2 seconds behind Vettel while Lotus Renault's Nick Heidfeld finished on the podium in third. Heidfeld tried to prove his case to the racing fraternity at the start of the race, only to fall down the order, but he fought his way back into contention to take the final podium position.
