Mercedes-Benz unveils the new AMG Performance Center, a dedicated division that will focus on enhancing the customer experience for the performance luxury brand.

AMG opened their doors to a new Performance Center here in Singapore. Gracing the opening was the debut of the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT. With a maximum output of 591 bhp, the supercar will come with the optimised AMG Speedshift DCT 7-speed sports transmission and a redeveloped AMG Ride Control Performance suspension, and will be available both as a Coupé and a Roadster.
At this new center, customers can stay informed about current AMG High-Performance vehicles and their technological achievements, as well as information about the AMG Driving Academy, the AMG Collection and AMG’s involvement in motor sports.
“We are proud to launch the new AMG Performance Center in Singapore. With this new facility here, we hope to foster a stronger AMG lifestyle experience and community. Current and prospective customers can expect an enhanced product offering, dedicated sales team and more AMG-centric activities such as gatherings and drive-aways,” says Wolfgang Huppenbauer, President and Chief Executive of Daimler South East Asia.
A total of 195 AMG Performance Centers were established in all central markets since 2008. A key component of the AMG brand claim "Driving Performance" is the optimisation of individual customer communication, and emphasis on first-class customer support along all contact points.This commitment to the intensification of customer relations currently extends to 18 countries.
Mr Huppenbauer added, “With this new AMG Performance Center, we hope to be able to attract and care for current and potential AMG customers.†The AMG Performance Center is primarily oriented towards customer contact, customer information and appreciation. The focus here is placed exclusively on products and themes of the AMG high-performance brand, and customers can explore first-hand the complete AMG experience and enjoy privileged access to the full suite of AMG cars.â€
