Shell Eco-Marathon 2010

Making its debut in Asia in July 2010, the Shell Eco-Marathon is an educational project that challenges student teams to design and build the most energy-efficient vehicles to compete with each other.

Apart from showcasing the two new MINIs, visitors to MINIFESTO 2010 also had the opportunity to participate in activities like a miniature 'gymkhana circuit' Driving Challenge, remote controlled car challenge, go karting as well as seeing the legendary MINI rally champion Rauno Aaltonen perform in a MINI which he did with gusto on the handling course demo runs despite his age.

Shell is offering its customers a chance to win up to S$100,000 worth of fuel monthly just by spotting numbers on their fuel receipts.

Disc brakes are fitted to all wheels, with ventilated discs and Brembo double piston, fixed calipers at the front. Suspension is derived from a tried and tested Abarth configuration with the front provided by independent McPherson struts, while rear suspension is semi-independent with a torsion bar.
