Just after that, something happened in the battle for the lead. Tsukakoshi in car No. 17 had been chasing Matsuda in No. 12 at a faster pace and was already on his tail by lap 45, where he made a braking mistake going into the hairpin turn and did a half-spin that sent his car colliding into No. 12. (Matsuda). This caused Matsuda to spin as well. Tsukakoshi (No. 17) recovered first and took the lead, but three laps later the decision was made to give him a drive-through penalty as the one responsible for the collision. On the same lap 47 where Tsukakoshi was given his penalty, the battle for third was heating up. Yamamoto in car No. 100 passed car No. 36 (Nakajima) in the Atwood Curve. When No. 17 (Tsukakoshi) returned to the pit lane for the drive-through penalty, it moved No. 100 (Yamamoto) up into second position. From this point on, Yamamoto in car No. 100 began to close the gap slowly on No. 12 (Matsuda), but the gap was too was too big for him to catch No. 12 before it took the chequered and the win.

Singapore - First In Southeast Asia To Preview BMW Concept M5

Back in April, we released news about the new M5 making an appearance here. Last night, Munich Automobiles, the first M Showroom in the world, previewed the awesome BMW Concept M5 Ã¼ber saloon.

In third place, Martin Tomczyk became the best-placed driver of a 2008-spec car and thrilled the spectators with spirited attacks and overtaking manoeuvres. His efforts were rewarded. In the pointsâ€™ standings, he is currently third behind Rockenfeller. British driver Jamie Green lost his second place at the start and was also overtaken by Tomczyk during the race. The Mercedes-Benz driver finished fourth ahead of two timesâ€™ DTM champion Timo Scheider (Audi). Audi driver Edoardo Mortara from Italy already scored his first-ever championship points by finishing sixth in his second race. He was followed by Maro Engel (Mercedes-Benz) and Mattias EkstrÃ¶m with the Audi A4 DTM. The Swede started 16th and still scored one point by finishing eighth.

The EX1 beat an electric speed record by putting in a lap time of nine minutes and 1.338 seconds at an average speed of 138.324 km/h despite weather conditions which were far from favourable. The previous electric speed record on this circuit was set by a race-prepared Mini E, which clocked a lap time of nine minutes and 51.45 seconds.

The new Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max tyre features an advanced full silica compound which reduces the friction between the tyre's rubber molecules and provides higher resistance to abrasion, resulting in reduced fuel consumption and a longer tread life. Additionally, the tyre is built with a hard base under the tread, which reduces deformation in the crown area and heat build-up. The tyre also features even pressure distribution that helps to reduce the rate of wear.

Going back to formula might just end the argument about which type of petrol offers the best performance in our cars.

Even out on the expressway, the A1 gets up to legal speeds without fuss. However whatâ€™s lacking here is engine refinement â€“ it can sound a tad gruff especially above 4,500 rpm, and the drone does get intrusive when the audio system is switched off. Handling wise, the A1 remains your typical Audi. Which means the steering is well weighted, handling is predictable and as a whole, makes even an amateur driver a street hero. Depending on buyerâ€™s demand, nothing is wrong with this particular aspect of the A1 â€“ but if youâ€™re more demanding and place more emphasis on â€œf-u-nâ€, then you might come disappointed. In comparison, at least the Mini Cooper requires more driver input and you can easily (a) throw its rear out, and (b) laugh away gleefully as you try to get back its line. But wait: here's a surprise, the A1 in comparison seems to brake better.

More than 50,000 spectators witnessed former Red Bull Racing driver David Coulthard burning up Orchard Road in his F1 show car.

The second race (Round 4) was one of the most exciting ever with Gabriele Tarquini and his SEAT LeÃ³n TDi being able to interrupt Chevrolet's supremacy. The tough fight for the lead between the Italian and Huff will be remembered and the result proved that even a great team with great drivers can fail when put under pressure. Which is good news for the championship that is still led by Huff who has only a one-point margin ahead of Menu.

The Special Stages (SS) challenged the driving and recovery skills in the two classes of competitor teams (Modified and Special) to the maximum as they shake, rattled and rolled their machines. If the Friday Prologue SS was tough with mechanical problems and broken egos, the following two days were tougher for man and machine. On the second day, the action shifted to the banks of the Isonzo river and the hills of Farra. It was time for very technical maneuvers which required nerves of steel even from the most seasoned teams, but everyone was on full throttle with passion and played out the SS with true grit.
