Held from 16 – 19 September 2013, The Gillette ‘Great Face Race’ will take place at The Gillette F1 Grooming Pit Stop, The Plaza, VivoCity Level 1, from 10am – 10pm daily. Activities open to the public over the four days include a Real Racing 3 game zone featuring the specially-designed Gillette McLaren MP4-12C, where racer wannabes can do their practice rounds; a Gillette experience zone; and photo opportunities with a Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 replica car on display.

Borneo Motors (Singapore) Pte Ltd has announced that the new, highly popular ES model range will be launched in Singapore in the last quarter (Q4) of 2013.


The new Gallardo Squadra Corse is very close to the race cars. Both share the same V10 engine, which is used in the racing version with no modifications. Likewise, the Squadra Corse has the same rear wing for greater aerodynamic load – achieving, under the best aerodynamic conditions, three times the load of the Gallardo LP 560-4 – for increased dynamic stability during tight, high speed driving. Another element taken directly from the racing version is the removable engine hood with quick-release system. Both the rear wing and the hood are made from carbon composite material, as are a host of other components on the Squadra Corse.

It may not be the fastest in a straight line (the P1 gives away about 50 bhp and 2 sec to 300 km/h to the Ferrari), but then again, McLaren have said all along that their goal was to make the fastest road car round a circuit, not just a straight line.
