What differentiates them however is that the X-mini II is purely a monaural speaker, whereas the Max II is a stereo variant. Both of them feature the BXS (Bass Xpansion System)-- twist the speakers and it “pops” out, revealing an accordion-like plastic tube that acts as a “bass chamber” in larger speakers. You could still use these speakers in the compact mode, but we wouldn't recommend it as you'll be reducing the bass response.

MINI Tuning Specialist supports the initiative: "TUNE IT! SAFE!" by the VDAT by kitting out the emission-free concept car.


In the frontal collision at a speed of up to 64 km/h, which forms part of the Euro NCAP crash test, the passenger cell of the MINI Countryman proved to be extremely stable. Irrespective of the size and sitting position of the passengers, only a slight risk of injury was detected. The MINI Countryman earned the maximum number of points for occupant protection in a side-on collision, while the testers also rated the risk of injury to the cervical vertebrae in a rear-end collision as low. The crash test results were just as positive when it came to the use of seat systems for three year old and 18 month old children. Both in the frontal and the side-on collision, a stable position and minimal head movements at the moment of impact were registered in each case.

With a high number of biting edges gripping the road surface for greater traction, the tyre is built with the maximum ratio of blading in the contact patch to achieve safer cornering and maximum grip in all driving conditions. Based on external tests on wet-braking performance, the Eagle EfficientGrip outperforms a leading competitor in its class. This wet-braking test was conducted by TÜV SÜD Automotive GmbH in Mireval, on size 205/55 R16 on a low mu wet asphalt surface, and showed that the Eagle EfficientGrip indeed reduces wet-braking distances of up to 1.7 metres versus a leading competitor. The Goodyear Eagle EfficientGrip is available in 17 sizes in 45 – 65 series, 15-17 inch rims with V, W and Y speed ratings.
