The WRX STI NBR 24H Challenge car, prepared by Subaru Technica International (STI) specifically for the gruelling endurance race, completed 143 laps (approximately 3,629 km) in 24 hours, 12 laps ahead of the second placed car in its class. The WRX STI NBR was entered once more in the SP3T class, for turbocharged engines up to 2,000cc, and completed the race ahead of key rivals from Audi, Ford and Seat.

Despite still being in just its debut year, the Conti GT3 has already proven to be a race winner (on home turf no less) at the Silverstone round of the Blancpain Endurance Series – the brand’s first UK race in 84 years. To celebrate, Bentley has announced a sharper, gruntier model, “inspired” by the racer – the GT3-R. Only 300 will be produced, hand-built and then finished by the boys at Bentley’s Motorsport division.

In conclusion, if you are shopping for a good car, the Jetta Sport does have some very good points that makes it a safe choice. Firstly, it's big. Secondly, it's fast. Thirdly, it's priced to worry the competition (with that said, the competition offers thirstier 2.0-litre engines for roughly the same price). With these three big pluses, it won't be long until you come across a Jetta Sport on the road. We'll pick it if we want a sensible family sedan, but as a sports car... we can only hope that the GLI and the speculated R variants will pack all the necessary thrills.

Let us cut to the chase, the Jetta is what the Japanese should worry about.


The A1 e-tron contains technology that Audi’s development engineers are using to study the mobility requirements for such a future-oriented concept. The technological basis includes an electric motor with a maximum output of 75 kW that is powered by a lithium-ion battery. The battery features a 12 kWh capacity and can be completely charged in 30 minutes (quick charge), or in less than three hours (standard charge). It offers a range of 50 kilometres. To prevent drivers from being stranded by an empty battery, the A1 e-tron also comes equipped with a combustion engine, which can charge the battery as needed. The one-disc rotary engine (254 cc) is located under the trunk floor; it provides 15 kW of output intended solely to charge the battery, rather than to directly power the wheels.

A total of 32 electric vehicles entered, but Audi outshone everyone at the second Silvretta Electric Car Rally in Austria’s Montafon region.


With the film set in Brazil, the album is filled with a mix of Portuguese tracks too, ranging from the ethnic “Carlito Marron” by Bahia musician Carlinhos Brown, the rap-tastic “Batalha” by ObandO or the joyful “Danza Kuduro” by Don Omar. Granted, most of us won't understand every single word sung in the song, but that doesn't mean that they don't make great music to groove with. Three instrumental scores from the movie, ranging to which range from pure epic-ness to down-and-gritty industrial rock are included in this CD. Produced by Brian Tyler, “Assembling the Team”, “Mad Skills” and “Fast Five Suite” are the tracks that shaped the atmosphere of this movie. This installment of the soundtrack is perhaps the most diverse in the Fast and Furious universe. The Fast and Furious franchise has spawned a musical following, with every installment seemingly having a future chart-topping song in the mix.


On the move, the dimensions of the 5 Series felt as though it was shrunken, with the car's suspension and engine providing a confidence inspiring drive, belying it's size which is by far the biggest 5 Series ever in the model's history. Though the car looks visually more compact, the wheelbase in reality has been increased by more than three inches. Prodding the accelerator, the car surges forward with no hint of turbo lag. The throttle response impressively quick and sensitive with nary a hint of jerkiness and the car going from 0 to 100 in just 6.1 seconds.
