The actual car will come with a small capacity, highly boosted internal combustion engine with one powerful electric motor on each axle. The C-X75 concept car, sans gas-turbine engines, will go into production in limited numbers.


The new XF will be equipped with the existing engines, a 238 hp three litre V6 and 385 hp five litre V8. The XFR receives a 510 hp supercharged five litre V8 that will propel the cat from zero to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds. The range-topper receives a more aggressive styling with three air dams that dominate the front of the car and a set of cooling vents set into the bonnet either side of the bulge. New sill extensions run down the side of the car framed by redesigned 20-inch wheels. At the rear the new lights sit above a redesigned bumper complete with a subtle diffuser.
