The Macan, which Porsche proudly describes as 'the first sports car in the compact SUV segment' was officially launched yesterday at a grand affair


The fifth generation 911 GT3, a completely new development, has a power-to-weight ratio of 3.0 kg/hp and the ability to achieve a top speed of 315 km/h. It accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in a mere 3.5 seconds and completes a lap at Nürburgring Nordschleife in just under 7:30 minutes. As a technical highlight, it features the first active rear-wheel steering in a production Porsche, as well as optional full-LED headlights. The powertrain consists of a 3.8-liter boxer engine yielding 475 bhp at 8,250 rpm, a Porsche dual-clutch transmission (PDK) and a high-traction rear-wheel drive.

First debuted in April 2013 at Auto Shanghai, the leading auto show in Asia, the new Panamera is more efficient, sporty, comfortable, and elegant. Part of the Porsche Principle is increasing power and performance while maintaining efficiency and sustainability — a concept that seems to go against logic but is brought to life in the new Panamera range. This idea led to the development of an entirely new engine based on the notion of downsizing — a V6 engine with a three-litre displacement and bi-turbo charging.

The sports car that unites contradictions without compromises, the new Panamera makes its debut in Singapore.


As before, two engine options will be available, with a choice of 6-speed manual or 7-speed PDK gearboxes. The base Cayman has a 2.7-litre flat 6 with 275 bhp, while the S shares its 3.4-litre engine with the 991 Carrera, albeit in a different state of tune, producing 325 bhp. Thanks to stop-start and direct injection, Porsche claims a 15% improvement in fuel efficiency, bringing the figures to 7.9km/l and 8.4km/l for the base and S models.
