I started off with the “wet circuit”, which turned out to be bone dry. Nevertheless, the course was designed with a fast lane switch, a couple of gates, a long sweeper and finally a slalom.

BMW Asia today introduces the new BMW 5 Series Touring, the 'Executive Touring'.


The revised platform is more rigid compared to the current model thanks to an increased number of spot welds and adding laser welds in very specific locations. The track, wider by 40mm at the front and 50mm at the rear, works in combination with a revised suspension design to give a more assured stance and superior cornering performance.

BMW Asia now offers the full range of the BMW Performance product line, which includes accessories for the drivetrain, suspension, aerodynamics and cockpit components for a range of BMW cars.


“This vehicle will mark the launch of the first volume-produced car featuring bodywork largely made of carbon. It’s a revolution in automotive design,” stressed Klaus Draeger, Member of the Board responsible for Development. The application of this new CFRP technology allows a weight reduction, compared to a conventional electric car, of between 250 and 350 kilos, and that means more dynamic handling coupled with a greater range. The BMW i3 does the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in less than eight seconds, while a high-speed charger achieves an 80% battery charge in just an hour.

The NUS FSAE (Formula-Society of Automotive Engineers) team is a group of engineering students who design, build and race an open-wheel open-cockpit Formula race cars.


Together with the optional high-resolution colour display in the instrument cluster, the new dashboard with its elegant, grained surface and prominent decorative trim emphasises the premium character of the interior. The restyled dashboard features an enhanced trim concept and a new instrument cluster featuring an integral display, which is in colour with the optional 12-button steering wheel.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 gives the player the best of both worlds by combining the single player and multi player experiences in a dynamic world of flashy cars and racing.


The X3 is available in two variants, the xDrive28i and xDrive35i. While the straight six-cylinder petrol engine in the former features Valvetronic and Double-Vanos, the latter gets BMW's TwinPower Turbo, direct injection and Valvetronic technologies. As such, the xDrive35i produces 306bhp and 400Nm of torque while the xDrive28i generates 258bhp and 310Nm.

BMW claims that the new X3 is more agile, efficient and comfortable than the previous X3.


Butterfly opening doors give easy access to a 2+2 cabin that blends simplicity with technology. It has a minimalist, ‘stripped out’ feel, including a new expression of Saab’s driver-focused layout and a world debut for Saab’s innovative IQon infotainment and communications system. In true Saab tradition, there is also a surprisingly versatile cargo deck. “The PhoeniX establishes a new reference point for the future of Saab product design,” says Jason Castriota, Saab Automobile’s Executive Design Director. “It symbolizes a renaissance of the innovative spirit and passion that drove Saab to build its first car. We’re now taking the visual DNA forward with what we call ‘aeromotional’ design, adding emotion, power and fluidity. This design aesthetic will shape and differentiate future models in the Saab portfolio.”

Saab PhoeniX Concept: The Future Is Already Here

Sleek, innovative and exceptionally efficient: the Saab PhoeniX concept car showcases design features and technologies which will shape the next generation of cars from Saab.


The Audi A3 concept is a four-seat notchback sedan. It measures 4.44 metres long and 1.84 metres wide, but just 1.39 metres high — proportions that underscore its dynamic character. The design represents the typical Audi language of sporty elegance. The single-frame grille is integrated into the front end, giving it a sculptured look. Its frame is made of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP), and the transversely mounted, three dimensional aluminum louvers create a visual effect that emphasises the showcar’s width. The headlights merge with the beveled upper corners of the single-frame, forming a transition that marks the starting point of the prominently accentuated lines of the engine hood. The headlights represent a new stage of evolution in LED technology, a groundbreaking innovation from Audi. They become broader as they extend outward, and a line underneath them makes them seem to float on air. Above the front spoiler is a full-length air intake, also made of CFRP, framed by a metal clasp. The spoiler features a splitter that raises the down force on the front wheels.

The low, highly aerodynamic bodyshell is stretched tight over the engineering hard points, with the muscular bodywork rendered as compact as possible. The concept measures 4,235mm long, 1,795mm wide and 1,270mm high, with a long, 2,570mm wheelbase.

And when the accelerator was floored hard, the addictive sound of wheel spin was heard in tandem with the gruff sounding engine snarl in protest of the rev needle's ascent, further highlighting the car's sporty potential even though the car is meant to be a smooth and refined drive.
