Aston Martin will have a new local dealer starting the end of this month - guess who?


The app will be launched at an event called 'A Drive Back In Time', to be held at The Fullerton Hotel in October. Here, members of the public will be given special headsets powered by the new LG G4 smartphone and be chauffer-driven around the Civic District in a fleet of Audi A6s. With the headset on, the app re-creates the roads and buildings as they were 50 years ago, including iconic landmarks such as Victoria Theatre and City Hall. The device is GPS-tagged so that, as you're driven along in real life, the app follows your progress and the scenery changes in real time accordingly, and you can even swivel around for a full 360° view of your surroundings!

Noticeably from the third tankful onwards, the engine needed less effort to move off and I could shift up at 3,500 rpm instead — even with two additional passengers. On top of that while cruising along the expressway, the engine seem less coarse than before. As a whole, it definitely feels more effortless to drive now — something I highly appreciate, as this daily driver of mine is somewhat providing additional comfort to make driving a less tedious affair. Caltex definitely delivered what was said on their label with this one.

This year, Volvo expects to sell 750 Polestar versions of the V60 wagon and S60 sedan globally. Polestar sales are forecast to increase, between 1,000 and 1,500 cars a year, in the medium term under Volvo’s ownership. The Volvo S60 and V60 Polestar feature a 350 horse power T6 engine, making the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 4.9 seconds, and an extensively developed chassis. The production-based, 330 bhp concept car is assembled in accordance with TCR Regulations and is intended to allow Volkswagen to evaluate a possible customer racing programme as of the 2016 season. The race Golf we reported about last week made headlines by winning its debut race, claiming its first victory at the Touringcar Racer International Series (TCR) in Austria.


As I walked to our 4C test car, I couldn’t help but wish they had given us one painted in red. The white paint on our car swallowed up all the curves and didn’t do it justice. The 4C’s shape was refined over many hours in the wind tunnel so that it works aerodynamically to provide negative lift at speed and a low Cd of 0.35.

We start off with one of the cars most eagerly anticipated by the average enthusiast, something that mere mortals can actually afford - the new Honda Civic Type R. When the previous-generation FD and FN Civic Type Rs ended production in 2011 due to tightening emissions regulations, we weren't sure if we'd see another zingy, righ-revving Honda Type R again. Sadly, we won't. But luckily, instead of throwing in the towel, Honda has adapted with the times, and decided to turbocharge the Civic Type R, making it cleaner and meaner in the process. How much meaner exactly? Well, how does outputs of 306 bhp and 400 Nm @ 2500 rpm, a top speed of 270 km/h, 0-100 km/h in 5.7s and Nurburgring FWD record time of 7m 50.6s sound to you? Certainly puts the 'hot' in hot hatch for us!
