Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 Unveiled for 2025

BY Sean Loo

Today marks an exciting day for motorsport enthusiasts as Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) officially opens the order books for the new GR Supra GT4 EVO2.

It's the latest evolution born from the crucible of global racetracks, crafted with meticulous feedback from teams and drivers who live and breathe racing.

Since its debut in 2020, the GR Supra GT4 has seen countless podium finishes in 11 countries, and has proven its mettle on tracks across Asia, the United States, and Europe.

The 2023 update to the GR Supra GT4 EVO was a significant step forward, refining braking, handling, and engine performance to make the car accessible to drivers of all skill levels.

Yet, they continued to gather insights directly from the racetrack. This drove the development of the GR Supra GT4 EVO2, set to debut in the 2025 season.

So what’s new?

The ABS maps have been fine-tuned, thanks to rigorous testing on circuits in Japan and Europe, giving you optimal braking and cornering performance, regardless of tyre type, wear, or track conditions.

The engineers also tackled the art of downshifting, reducing the time it takes to match revs with a software update. This tweak enhances deceleration control, allowing drivers to carry more speed through corners with confidence.

The cooling systems for the engine, brakes, and drivetrain have all been enhanced, while cockpit temperatures have been optimised to ensure comfort and maintain performance.

The world will get its first glimpse of the GR Supra GT4 EVO2 in action at the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge in January 2025, held alongside the 24 Hours of Daytona.

For those interested in taking the wheel of this machine, GT4 sales and customer support, including spare parts and technical assistance, can be arranged by Toyota… as long as you are within one of their stipulated territories.
