Just four months after its grand unveiling at Silverstone, the new Aston Martin Vantage GT3 roared to its first international triumph.

And it was a GT300 Class win at Japan’s premier endurance racing championship, the AUTOBACS SUPER GT Series. A historical first for the British luxury brand in this highly competitive series.

D’station Racing, with drivers Tomonobu Fujii (JPN) and Charlie Fagg (GBR) at the helm, delivered a flawless performance in the 3-Hour race at Suzuka.

They not only clinched the class pole position (a debut win in itself) but also emerged victorious.

The #777 D’station Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 finished 38 seconds ahead of its closest rival.

Across the Pacific, Aston Martin’s other WEC partner team, the US-based Heart of Racing, achieved their best result of the season in America’s premier endurance series, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Ross Gunn (GBR) and Alex Riberas (ESP) powered through from sixth on the grid to secure a third-place finish in the GTD Pro class in Detroit. This marked the Vantage GT3’s first podium finish in the 100-minute sprint format event, held on the short street circuit in ‘Motor City’.

Adam Carter, Aston Martin’s Head of Endurance Motorsport, was understandably elated. “We’ve always known that the new Aston Martin Vantage GT3 could succeed at any level of GT-based endurance racing. These strong results boost everyone’s confidence as we head into the season’s most critical phase.”

Today, there are 25 of Aston Martin’s new Vantage GT3s competing in over 10 major GT series worldwide, including the FIA World Endurance Championship, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and the Fanatec GT World Challenge series in Europe, Asia, and the US.

This number is expected to grow to at least 35 by the end of its debut season.
