Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Thunders In Australia

Absolute Racing dominated at The Bend.

Last weekend, Absolute Racing's fleet of four Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 cars secured multiple wins and podium finishes.

Leading the charge were the New Zealand PRO duo, reigning champion Marco Giltrap and the prodigious 18-year-old Clay Osborne. These two were the fastest drivers in both qualifying sessions.

Race one started with high hopes; Giltrap and Osborne had climbed to a commendable fourth place when disaster struck. An opponent spun across their path, resulting in a collision that left the Lamborghini Auckland team with a damaged front left.

Race one started with high hopes; Giltrap and Osborne had climbed to a commendable fourth place when disaster struck. An opponent spun across their path, resulting in a collision that left the Lamborghini Auckland team with a damaged front left.

This incident necessitated a second pit stop for repairs, pushing them down to a disappointing 15th-place finish.

In race two, the New Zealanders came back with a vengeance; Giltrap led the race for the first 12 laps before handing over to Osborne during the mandatory pit stop. Osborne resumed in fifth place but quickly ascended to the lead as the four cars ahead pitted simultaneously.

This allowed them to maintain their position at the top of the PRO class leaderboard.

On the other side of the garage, SQDA-GRIT Motorsport’s Brian Lee started strong by securing two points for the AM class pole-position times. However, he too was caught in the chaos of race one’s opening lap, forcing him to retire.

Lee bounced back with a vengeance on Sunday, clinching an AM class win and an impressive third place overall finish.

Meanwhile, the 610Racing by Absolute pair Li Xuanyu and Xie Wenjun managed to secure third place in the AM class during race one.

In race two, they kept their cool and finished in a commendable fourth place, marking a solid weekend for the series debutants.

Lamborghini Cup points leaders Haziq and Hairie Oh made it four wins out of four. The HZO Fortis Racing Team by Absolute Racing drivers dominated both races in the Lamborghini Cup class.

The Malaysian brothers also secured two pole-position points, capping off a perfect performance for the weekend.

After two events and four races, the standings are shaping up nicely for Absolute Racing. Giltrap and Osborne are leading the PRO class standings, while Haziq and Hairie Oh sit comfortably at the top of the Lamborghini Cup class.

In the AM class, Brian Lee holds second place, with Li Xuanyu and Xie Wenjun in third. Unsurprisingly, Absolute Racing leads the teams' standings, proving their dominance in the series.
