Souped-up Astra By Senner Tuning

The stock Astra is a great choice for a sensible family hatch but you could loose it easily in the parking lot. Not this one though!

The Astra is a safe, brisk little car which does come with the coolest accessory we’ve seen on a car to date. The Senner AG crew from Ingelheim has released a kit to make it a much better car. Besides giving it a matte black Steinmetz front grille, the car also features a roof spoiler, a front spoiler lip, a set of side shafts in two-color design and a rear skirt insert. The latter three are made to look like carbon, but they are said to improve the aerodynamic properties of the Astra.

Replacing the stock wheels are Alutec’s Ecstasy rims (19″x8″) shod with 235/35R19 Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta rubber.  To improve handling, Senner AG bolted the KW Inox-line Variant 2 coilovers with adjustable rebound damping and ride height.

Power has been boosted to 165 hp / 250 Nm by help of Senner’s engine tune and a BMC sport air filter. The twin exhaust layout consists of a custom-made stainless steel muffler with a 140×90 mm pipe. Furthermore, there is a power converter – tuning for the electric acceleration pedal. In addition an alarm system has been installed. Tinted windows and the brake calipers painted in red round up this sporty package. In all, this conversion costs approximately €11,900 (S$20,850) .
