Lexus Driving Experience 2011

The Lexus Driving Experience saw a group of keen Lexus owners steer not just their silky smooth machines round the Sepang F1 circuit, but also a pair of high performance IS F super saloons.


On 14 and 15 May 2011, ladies will get to drive Singapore's best-selling coupe, the Volkswagen Scirocco on the very same stretch of tarmac that hosts the annual Formula One street race. Prizes will be awarded to the fastest woman on each day. Off the track, visitors can enjoy a manicure, pedicure or head and neck massage, plus a free flow of refreshments. There will be plenty of eye candy too, in the form of Volkswagen's hunky grid boys. The whole Scirocco range will be offered with special deals on that day as well. Goodyear Launches "Women With Drive" In Malaysia

Launched in partnership with the Automobile Association of Malaysia (AAM), the programme is targeted at making women more road-savvy.


A seven-speed DSG gearbox with paddle shifters is fitted as standard. The new car also comes fitted with the same electronic transverse differential lock (XDS) you find on a Golf GTI. It electronically mimics a limited slip differential to reduce the tendency to under steer and deliver the power to the road more efficiently.

Zone 1 Ticket Holders To Enjoy Additional Viewing Experiences

Singapore GP confirmed the integration of the Singapore Flyer into Zones 1 and 2 of the Marina Bay Street Circuit, allowing Zone 1 and Premier Walkabout ticket-holders complete access.


The new XF will be equipped with the existing engines, a 238 hp three litre V6 and 385 hp five litre V8. The XFR receives a 510 hp supercharged five litre V8 that will propel the cat from zero to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds. The range-topper receives a more aggressive styling with three air dams that dominate the front of the car and a set of cooling vents set into the bonnet either side of the bulge. New sill extensions run down the side of the car framed by redesigned 20-inch wheels. At the rear the new lights sit above a redesigned bumper complete with a subtle diffuser.

Volkswagen claims that its Group Design Chief, Walter de Silva and Volkswagen Brand Design Chief, Klaus Bischoff had designed the new beetle around the lines of the original 1930s Beetle.
