The new GT-R's exterior gets a complete makeover across the front end. A new hood, which flows upwards from the grille, has been significantly reinforced, contributing to stability during high-speed driving. It wasn’t until two years later that the name “Andrew Tang” would become prominent. This was when he became champion of the 2014 Toyota Racing Series in New Zealand, becoming the first non-Kiwi ever to do so. Sadly, his rapid rise up the ranks was curtailed by National Service, but he’s since bounced back from that setback, having been picked up by the Porsche China Junior Team in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, where he’s currently lying 3rd in the Championship, with two race wins under his belt. We headed up North to Melaka with the range of people carrier in Volkswagen's local line up


Probably it all boiled down to luck and fate, but while I was looking around the market, I couldn’t seem to find a suitable car. Most of the SG-generation Subaru Forester 2.5 XT I viewed either had too much modifications (I’m always keen on a car that is in full stock condition), had too high a mileage (saw an early 2008 model with almost 260,000 km on the odometer), looked tired or already had a bad history (badly maintained, uneven paint surfaces or showed signs of previous accidents). I was about to go back to the drawing board and reconsider my options, but Managing Editor, Joel suggested a Subaru Impreza WRX instead; at that point he had just sent his 2005 Subaru Forester to the scrapyard (COE woes, what else?). The satisfaction he had during his time with the car obviously made him gave me that idea.
