A tribute to real drivers, fast cars and the smell of burnt rubber.
It continues to be a challenge to keep the enthusiasm for cars alive especially in this current world of EVs.
Believe it or not, we first went live in the year 2000 (yep, check out that screenshot on the right—classic, right?). That was a time when websites were just becoming a thing, and automotive sites were few and far between. I vaguely remember ones like Drive and SG Wheels—or something along those lines.
Back then, car enthusiasts didn’t just scroll and swipe; they gathered in forums, both locally and globally. Delphi forums were the digital watering holes where countless hours were spent chatting, posting, or just ‘lurking’—as we used to call it.
Fast forward to today, and the conversation has shifted. The banter now happens in the comments section of posts and videos, and the cars themselves? Well, they’ve changed too. Who would’ve thought we’d be living in a world where EVs are taking over?
But no matter how cars evolve, one thing remains: our passion for driving. Here at Burnpavement.com, we’re not just about getting from A to B. We’re always chasing that spark—that thrill behind the wheel—regardless of what’s powering it.
Because at the end of the day, driving has never been just about the machine. It’s about the experience.
